Many of you know something has happened with Dan, but don't know what.  Let me briefly bring you up to date.  In September 2016 Dan went to the doctor to get his knee replaced.  To our surprise a very large liposarcoma tumor was discovered starting at his left knee and extending down to his ankle.  It was removed in October, and two more surgeries in December closed the wound, and added a skin graft.  February and March brought 33 radiation treatments to kill any remaining cells.  Severe back pain sent him back to the doctor to discover the same cancer tumors throughout his spinal column, in his lungs, and a large mass in the left side of his abdomen.  Surgeons did surgery on his back to relieve pressure on the spinal cord and regain function in his legs, and other issues.  They have determined that there is nothing more they can do to help surgically.  Plan of action is 2 weeks of spinal rehab, then begin chemotherapy.

Dan believes God has a plan and will see him through the days ahead.  He is determined to fight this cancer with all he has!!  Miracles still happen and we believe in a great big God.  One of Dan's favorite songs says, "Through it all, I've learned to trust in Jesus!"  And i know he's not gonna stop now!
