Background
Dana started feeling something changing in her body a couple months ago. We were on one of our morning walks and she could not finish the walk - she was short of breath and was experiencing chest pains, she was out of breath and her legs were bothering her - the chest pains subsided only to turn up again a week or so later.
We went to the hospital and After ekg, cat scans, x-rays etc they determined that her heart was healthy and just told her to take it easy. But the leg pains persisted.
Many nights thereafter she would wake up in the middle of the night In excruciating pain. Over the last month we ended up in the ER four time because of the pain in her legs and all they did was pump her full of morphine and send her home.
They did however draw blood every visit - and finally they noticed the white blood cell count was growing and the red cels were decreasing.
At this point Dana could not walk because she was in so much pain from her legs. On a scale of one to ten she was eleven.
We met with the Oncologist on October 31st - more tests and blood draw - this last Monday they did a bone marrow biopsy - the test results on Tuesday showed that she has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and the leg pain was from the oversupply of white blood cells in the bone that creates pressure from within the bone.

There is a series of 8 blocks of treatments - too much for me to recount but the Doc says it's a complicated process - And it will be challeng for recovery - fortunately the doc is one of the best in the area and is confident she will pull through but she is going to have to fight - thank you for all of the loving - keep her in your prayers.
