As I begin this journey, I'm learning what it really means to take 'one day at a time'. On August 29, life changed in an instant. When you hear the words, "You have cancer," life snaps into focus. Surrounded by my family, friends, prayers, and faith, I will do my best to navigate through this season with hope, positivity, and courage. "Courage is not the lack of fear. It is acting in spite of it." I am overwhelmed by the simple acts of kindness you all have shown.  I'm touched by your generosity, your support, your caring words, and your love.  Thank you for keeping my family and I in your thoughts and prayers.  A new found friend, a brave, strong survivor herself, shared some beautiful words with me. "Allow hope to push away fear. Allow strength to push away weakness. Allow faith to push away uncertainty. Allow friends to help carry the burden." Today, I choose this.   "When today becomes tomorrow, this day will be gone forever, leaving in its place what I choose today. I, alone, can choose to use today wisely-Cancer can't rob me of this day!"  I got this!!!
