My dad was hospitalized last September for a blood clot in his left leg. During his stay at the hospital, they discovered inconsistencies in his blood work. In December, a bone marrow biopsy determined he had "hairy cell" leukemia. With the assistance of chemo and nupogen shots, his numbers would go up and down but he was always able to hold his own. Last week his numbers crashed to where he had zero immune system and ended up in Yale New Haven Hospital where he is being treated for pneumonia and a lung infection. We are currently awaiting test results. Thank you for visiting his site. Please feel free to leave words of encouragement
