Damian Francis is the newest member of the Bennett family! He is due to arrive in July 2019! Damian was diagnosed with a chromosomal disorder called Trisomy 18. This means that where there should only be 2 chromosome 18s Damian has 3.  There are several ways that this can present itself in babies, so we are still waiting to find out exactly what will happen for Damian. According to the medical world this is considered a fatal diagnosis and most babies with Trisomy 18 do not live very long outside of the womb. As we have found out there are a lot of unknowns...things we don't know and cant know until they come up. However, there are a lot of things we do know! We know that our God is a God of miracles. We know that every life is a gift from God. We know that no life is a mistake or accident. We know that Damian's eternal soul was fully and perfectly formed at the very moment of his conception. We know that all of our days are numbered. We know that God has a specific and unique purpose for Damian's life. We know that his life has blessed and impacted our family in a huge way already. We would like this site to be a way for those who care, to stay updated on our journey.  We are asking for all of the prayers we can get:) Prayers for Damian's healing, and prayers for the grace to accept God's perfect plan for him and for our family. We know that God's perspective is eternal and in the eternal perspective all of our lives are fleeting. This world is not our home... We want to spend eternity with our Lord.  So we are asking all of you, our friends here who are walking this earthly journey with us, and the cloud of witnesses who have gone before us into eternity to join us in prayer. As we know from scripture,that ALL of the saints are offering prayers to God in heaven. (Revelation 8:3-4) As a family we are specifically asking for the prayers of St Damian, St Francis, and Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati.  Thank you for your love, support and prayers and we continue to walk this challenging road!
