Dale was taken by ambulance to Central Washington medical center in Wenatchee, Wa on Sunday November 4 when he became lethargic and non responsive. It was discovered that he had a massive UT I infection and Sepsis Shock. He spent 5 nights in ICU as they tried to fight the infection and the difficult complications that resulted or were worsened by this extreme sickness.
Dale is now out of ICU but is still in a grave Heath situation from the following issues
1.  The Sepsis UTI infection is still present and  the full impact to his body and systems is not yet totally known but is significantly reduced.
2.  Dale’s diabetes went out of control when this infection affected his diet and he became dehydrated. His blood sugar went way high and it is being watched and treated with insulin.
3. Pain. Dale has lived with pain for years from his bad hips and knees as well as joint arthritis. That pain was multiplied by this massive infection and illness. The normal pain medication (opiodbased) make Dale confused and delusional so they are trying alternatives with limited relief. Better but still in extreme pain.
4.  Movement.  Hard to measure how this will impact his mobility as his strength and ability to use crutches may be reduced or eliminated. Lots of physical therapy ahead.
