Thank you for visiting this site. I am hoping to allow for more communication about Dale's situation. I know many people are curious about how he is doing but don't want to bother me with asking. It also makes it easier for me to share updates rather than repeating the same informaiton over and over. Hopefully this will allow everyone to be more informed. At this point, I don't think we are in need of anything. I know we will be in the future. Thank you all for support. Feel free to leave messages here or contact me directly. - Sara
Dale was diagnosed with Renal Cell Cancer last fall and had his right kidney removed.  The cancer returned and has metastasized to his liver and lungs.  The cancer is treatable with immunotherapy but is not curable.  The prognosis is not good, maybe a couple of years, but we are hoping for a good response from his treatment to give him the most time possible.   Dale has started the immunotherapy treatment and is at home.  He has very little energy and appetite. He experiences shortness of breath with any sort of exertion and feels very fatigued.  We are hoping to get him feeling better in order to treat the cancer more aggressively, but at this point are unable to do so.  We are working closely with his oncologist to improve his overall well being. Dale does appreciate emails, texts or cards.  He may take visitors, but it depends on the day.  As a family, we may need help with the kids or other small things as time goes on.  We are very appreciative of all the offers thus far and surely will be in touch as help is needed.
