The last 4 years or so have been a series of visits to Regions , Mayo and  Lakeview for weekly labs and blood transfusions.  Last November she fell and had multiple fractures, but came out of rehab able to independently move about with a walker.  She  moved into her  daughter and son - laws  home on Christmas Eve - what a gift it was!  She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in February, and although uncomfortable from swelling legs and feet she continued on with her daily routine.  She loved to spend hours working on jigsaw puzzles with  the grandkids.  Recently , she became very fatigued and her appetite declined. After an ER visit  Wednesday May 17th she was hospitalized at Lakeview with pleural effusion ( excess fluid in the lining surrounding the lungs).
