We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.How it all began:Back on December 17th Cindy took Karl out for a walk on an unusually cold day and before they made it to the mailbox she slipped on a patch of ice. This fall which ended up breaking her wrist and causing a compression fracture to her T-10 vertebrae landed her in the hospital for almost a week. While there they found spots on her spine and a couple weeks of additional testing Dr Tsai at Cancer Centers of American diagnosed her with multiple myeloma. After reaching out to many friends and family members they were able to get teamed up with Dr. Rafael Fonseca at the Mayo clinic and he began her chemo treatment only days later to try and stay ahead of things. She has a long road ahead of her as she will be in a back brace until they are able to fix the vertebrae. Her back is not able to be operated on until they have the cancer under control.
