Hi everyone!  This Caring Bridge site has been set up for our friend and other mother, Cynthia Bedell.  As we all know, Cynthia is constantly focused on others.  Whether with her amazing cooking, volunteering for the VA and the Sunflowers or her loving care of Jim, she is always putting others before herself.  She is the first to jump in when help is needed and never asks for anything.

However, now she needs our help.

As many of you know, a number of weeks ago Cynthia had an injury to her knee.  Unfortunately, it is more serious than we originally thought and she is in need of surgery – a meniscus root  repair, which typically requires a 6-8 week period of being non-weight bearing.  Early weight bearing has been found to be the cause of meniscus root repair failure, and could require another surgery.

For anyone, this amount of recovery downtime would be serious and at best challenging to manage. For Cynthia, this is even more the case.  Not only does she have to consider how to manage her own healing, she has Jim’s needs to consider as well.

Therefore, we’ve set up this site to recruit and manage volunteers to help throughout her healing period. Whether it is to make and/or deliver a meal, help feed Jim, fold laundry, water the plants, do dishes or simply stop by for a visit, every bit of help will be so greatly appreciated!

To sign up to help, go to Ways to Help >  Planner and select the thing/s you want to do. After you click on a specific item a separate page will open, giving you more detailed information, a place to enter notes and the option to "Accept This Task".
If the posted time for something doesn't work for you, please just reach out! If there's something you want to do that's not listed, that's amazing too!

Thank you in advance for your help, we are beyond grateful for your support.
