Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. On January 8th, Colin had a routine appointment at Glacial Ridge Clinic with Dr. Polzin. Colin expressed that he had been experiencing body itches and night sweats for the past couple months with no relief from antihistamines.  After considering the symptoms and discovering a severely enlarged lymph node on his neck, they ran several tests and completed scans. The following couple days more tests were reviewed by an oncologist from CentraCare, who suspected a diagnosis of Lymphoma.  With this news, Colin decided he wanted to return to college, so he decided to receive care at Roger Maris Cancer Center in Fargo.  Since January 14th, Colin has been seeing  Dr. Milanovich, the pediatric oncologist at Sanford.  After many biopsies and tests, Colin was officially diagnosed with Stage 4 Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma, a form of non-hodgkins on February 8th. Additional pathology tests are still being reviewed at Mayo Clinic, due to a  possibility of an additional form of cancer as well.  Monday, February 10th, Colin was admitted to Sanford Broadway Medical Center in Fargo for his first inpatient chemo treatment.  With his upbeat spirits and support from family and friends he has made himself right at home, and is ready to kick cancer in the a$$!!
