Craigs journey battling glioblastoma
Craig was at work when he knew something was very wrong. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital where they found a good sized tumor on his left side of his brain. He had surgery yesterday with a guarded but positive result. He is a very hard worker and an incredibly nice man. Married with two girls, he has always been a good family man not only to his wife and girls but to his dad , mom and siblings. He works for himself doing concrete work.

The last 24 hours have been a whirlwind of emotions and chaos. Yesterday I got a call from my sister while I was at work telling me she got a very strange and scary text from my Dad saying, 'something is wrong, i don't feel right, I need help.' She called an ambulance right away and headed towards my parents house. When she got there, the ambulance was there and they were checking him out. He was walking and awake, but couldn't talk without slurring his words and he was very confused. They rushed him to Ridges and went straight to get a CT scan thinking it might have been a small stroke. Instead those test results came back with they worst news I could have ever imagined.. My father has a brain tumor. They will not know if it is for sure cancer or not until they do surgery, witch will be on Monday, but if it was a fast growing tumor and if it originated in his brain, it is more then likely cancer. The tumor is 3 inches in diameter on his left side. Besides him slurring his words a bit, his memory is a little hazy as well. Also his right side of his body is a little weak, so they are making sure he can walk on his own before sending him home for the weekend to wait for surgery Monday. He is doing ok so far, and in pretty good spirits, just trying to comprehend the news. I am now asking everyone to send whatever kind of good vibes, prayers, positive thoughts, whatever you got, his way. This is going to be a long road ahead for him and all of us. I will keep people updated when I know something new.
All updates are from my sister Heathers Facebook Page. She has been so amazing at keeping everyone updated. She really has a way with words and can easily express what we are all feeling. Thank you Heather, Love you Mel
