Welcome to our CaringBridge website.  We created this site to keep all of our Dad's updates in one place for his friends and family to be able to check in and see how he is doing.  Last fall, October 3rd, 2019 Dad was diagnosed with lung cancer.  He had a decently sized tumor in his lung that was then removed November 20th, 2019 praise God!  Starting at the end of December he started chemo treatment and did 12 weeks of weekly chemo treatments.  At the end of his time the cancer was no longer detectable.  Dad continued to go to follow up appointments and had a PET scan done shortly after his treatment was done, and a suspicious spot showed up at the very top of his leg.  Another PET scan was done in July 2020 and that same spot had gotten bigger.  The doctor had him get yet another biopsy and this biopsy was positive for cancer, so as of August 5th he learned he has the same kind he had in his lung now in his leg.   At this time Dad will be starting another round of Chemo treatments, however it will be with a pill this time and will last another 12 weeks in duration.  We were all a bit sad and shocked by the news, however Dad is ready to fight this off yet again.  We thank you for all the love and time you have invested into our dad and we are thankful to journey with you in this process.  Please be praying for him and our family as you think of us and our Dad going through these treatments!!
