This is the post we’ve been so dreading. Yesterday we met with his care team and as we suspected and feared, his illness and subsequent issues were deteriorating. He was deemed unable to receive a transplant as he wouldn’t survive even minor surgery, and 5 of his major bodily systems were in failure.<div><br /></div><div>We moved to comfort/ end of life care yesterday afternoon and we were able to be with him as a family by his side. He passed away peacefully last night at 9:00pm.</div><div><br /></div><div>We are heartbroken but know that he is no longer suffering as he was very physically sick these past 2 months. The staff at Froedtert TICU has been such an amazing and wonderful group of people who we cannot thank enough.</div><div><br /></div><div>We appreciate all your support, cards, love and prayers during these last couple months and in the months to come. You have all been amazing support systems during what seemed like the darkest time.</div><div><br /></div><div>As we make arrangements, we will keep you all posted. </div>
