Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. As you may know, Cornelia has been diagnosed with stage 3 aggressive uterine cancer, serous carcinoma which has begun to spread into her abdominal lymph nodes. A chemo port will be inserted soon to administer the chemotherapy treatments. These will consist of 6 cycles every 21 days. Her doctor (who's bedside manner is not the best) told Cornelia and her family that people with her diagnosis have a 9% chance of survival within the next 5 years. We are optimistic, and with much hope and prayer and positive thoughts, our collective support will increase Cornelia's chances of being in that 9% who beat this! Please send your well wishes, notes, and any additional support that you are able. We will keep you updated as we know more. We ask that you keep your direct phone calls, text messages, and emails directly to Cornelia and her children to a minimum at the moment.
