After being sick with a sinus infection & pneumonia and not fully recovering for several months, about May 7th, 2018 Corky was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. This is a cancer in the bone marrow which interferes with the normal production of all blood cells which then causes calcium & bone destruction, kidney dysfunction, & anemia. Corky was admitted into the UAMS of Little Rock on an emergency status June 14th, 2018 and then diagnosed with the late stage aggressive form of Myeloma=Plasma Cell Leukemia. She has been there ever since and is undergoing many treatments to try to overcome this cancer.
