Dad needs a heart valve operation, but in preparing for it, the CT showed suspicious tissue. The biopsy revealed that he has stage 4 Adenocarcinoma. The good news is that he is in no pain and it hasn't spread to the brain. He's had to slow down much to his chagrine, due to the valve that needs to be replaced. He is tolerating his first round of chemotherapy extremely well and was told that he must eat anything he wants to keep his weight up. If only his appetite would support the delicious buffet that has opened up to him. He is in great spirits and has a great deal of confidence in having chemo to fight this monster.
