I chose Caring Bridge to keep you informed about my cancer treatment. I will also use it to journal about my process as I go along. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. It has metastasized to a few spots on my brain and a tumor in my pelvis. I had three spots in my brain zapped with radiation and some treatment to the tumor in my pelvis. You are probably asking how did this all happen? It started with a persistent cough in October 2021 with no symptoms (no fever, no mucus). After two weeks of ineffective antibiotic treatment, the doctor decided to do a bronchoscopy. We had lots of chest CT Scans, Pet Scans and a Brain MRI. I had a biopsies on the brain and pelvis tumor which determined I do have Stage 4 Lung Cancer. This is a whole new world for me. At present, we are waiting for the results of my genetic testing which will determine the best treatment plan for me. Yes, I am hoping for a magic pill or clinical trial to make this go away. I am thankful to all my friends, new and old, my daughter and my son for all their love and support. Please leave your comments on Caring Bridge. I and my Care Team with update CaringBridge as my journey continues. I am here now and plan to stay here for a long time.
