Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
Cora's story began on January 20 when she felt some pain when breathing.  She went to a doc in the box and they sent her to the ER for a CT scan.  That showed some excess tissue in her chest and she was advised to see a hematologist/oncologist.  After seeing that doctor, he ordered a biopsy of the excess tissue, a pet scan and a bone marrow biopsy.  She was given an diagnosis of non Hodgkins Lymphoma and on Friday, February 14 he told her that the type of lymphoma she has is very rare and will require aggressive treatment.  She has Primary Mediastinal B-cell Lymphoma.
Cora will begin treatment on Thursday, February 20 at St. Mary's hospital.  She will receive her chemo cocktail for 5 days (or more if she has any difficulty)  then go home for ~16 days and she will begin round 2 on March 12.  She will repeat this 21 day cycle for the next 6 months.
We welcome your prayers and support.  In Deuteronomy 31 God tells Joshua to be Strong and Courageous.  Vs 8 says, "The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."  We are standing on the Word of God.
