She's more than my mom; she's a daughter, a sister, a wife and  the best grand-aunt and Oma in the world. She's also a nurse, a caretaker, a rock to her friends and a hero to her family. Now it's time we turn that love and support she's always shown for us and power it right back on to her in the greatest and most intense way possible. 


Last week, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer that's metastasized to her lungs. We are in shock, we are sad, we are scared. Personally, I am angry.  But we are quickly jumping into action. Now is the time for hope, prayers, love and most of all, it's time to fight - and I know my mom is ready! You all know 
Cookie, and she's never backed down from a fight in her life. 


We remain hopeful, we pray there are new treatments, we pray her medical team will come up with the exact right formula - and we pray as we enter this holiday season, we will have much to be Thankful for as mom enters treatment. And most importantly, as we move into 2018, we remain hopeful and pray we will have much to celebrate on the other side.
