We tried for 2 years to conceive our son. We had decided that we would end our attempts at the end of the year.

Early September we receive the amazing news that God has blessed us with the miracle of a little one.

Everything with the pregnancy was going great, he was strong and growing ahead of schedule. However, at week 23 (Jan.16) mommy got the sense that something wasn’t right and went to the doctor. Within moments we were admitted to the hospital due to an incompetent cervix and a baby boy already in position to enter the world.

We were prepared to spend the remainder of the pregnancy with mommy under bedrest at the hospital. God, on the other hand had different plans. On January 21 and at 24 weeks and a day, Connor arrived at 6:59 pm. He arrived weighting only 1.7 lbs and measuring 11.5 inches. Mommy and Daddy were able to lay eyes on him briefly before he was rushed to the NICU were he was stabilized and placed on a ventilator.

With God’s grace and mercy he has been stable since his birth. He is strong and continues to be an overachiever. Even his nurses and doctors tell us what a miracle he is and just achieving beyond expectations.

We still have a long road ahead of us and we are prepared for the possibilities of up and downs but we know that God is mighty and He has his hands on our son. We trust in his purpose for us and Connor and we thank him for every new day, every new milestone and every new blessing we are granted.

Thank you for thoughts and prayers and for lifting our son up to God. We know by experience the power of prayer.
