Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Connor originally went to the ER on Thursday May 17 complaining of tingling in his feet and pain in his legs. Initially it was thought that this was due to collapsed vertebrae in his spine. The tingling progressed to inability to stand and no feeling in his feet. The paralysis ascended up his body rapidly and by Sunday the 20th he was unable to control any part of his body from the chest down. At this point the neurologist and medical team at Beebe Hospital diagnosed him with Guillain-Barre Syndrome. He was put on a ventilator and moved to ICU, where they started treating him for the GBS . By Tuesday the 22nd, the neurologist recommended he be moved to Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, where they have an excellent neurology department.
