Here is the story of how I came to have a Caring Bridge site. From reading your comments, I see I never explained what happened to me.

On Monday, Jan 2 Noah and I were putting away our holiday decorations. Our garage has a loft area in it for storage and we use an 8' ladder to access it. I was up in the loft and Noah was climbing 2-3 rungs of the ladder to hand them to me so I could put them away for next Christmas. When he had handed me the last bin I was ready to climb down. The ladder was propped against the loft. We both thought the ladder was secure for my descent but it obviously wasn't, In that split second I knew I was falling. We're guessing it was maybe a 6' fall but I am not sure. I landed hard on my side on the concrete garage floor.  Thankfully, I did not hit my head because the results could have been much worse.

Noah called 911 and I was relieved when I could hear sirens in the distance and so glad the fire department  is not far from my house. I was taken to the local hospital but because Santa Cruz County does not have a trauma center I was transferred an hour away at Stanford Hospital.
