Connie (my mama) recently had a routine doctor checkup done, but unfortunately, nothing about it ended up being routine. After some test and laboratory work, she was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer which has spread to other significant organs. My mama has some (probably a lot but she would never admit) discomfort due to ascites in her abdominal and lungs. The plan, November 27th, she will have a hysterectomy and debulk cancer. We are hoping after three weeks she will be strong enough for chemotherapy. My mother as always has been a trooper a true warrior, while the rest of us have been hot messes.
