Welcome and Thank You all for visiting Connie's Story (as told by Mr. Connie) at the CaringBridge website.
We will be using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.
We appreciate your thoughts, your  support, your words of hope and encouragement and especially your Prayers .
Please feel free to share this link with family and friends.
Most know pieces of  this, but here is a brief version of Connie's Story.
After many weeks of  low energy, feeling tired all the time and overall "just not feeling right", Connie finally went to the Dr. on August 24th, the Dr. called on August 25th and had Connie report to the Emergency Room in Marion to be sent on to Lutheran Ft. Wayne for admission.
Connie was diagnosed with Leukemia-type ALL at Lutheran........and since August 24th
Connie has spent 48  days in the hospital as an inpatient,
Connie has received 2 complete rounds of Chemo, each consisting of part A and part B.
Connie has had 2 trips to Emergency room, 2 trips to her family Dr., and more than a dozen visits to her Oncologist in Ft. Wayne,
Connie has had multiple blood transfusions and received platelets 2 times
Connie went to Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN for test and consultation on November 7th
Mayo recommends, and the plan is for her to go to Mayo for a Bone Marrow Transplant in Rochester MN,
We received one of the biggest Blessings we have had this last Thursday, we found out that her youngest brother Randy is a match to be a Donor.
Connie is going to be evaluated this week by a physical therapist, the results will go to Mayo. Then for her to return to Mayo a week of test,
If Connie is home and her numbers are good she is scheduled to start round 3 part A of Chemo  December 20th
The eventual  plan, if all goes well,  is for a complete Bone Marrow transplant at Mayo Clinic.
They do it as an outpatient procedure, We will spend 3 to 4 months in Rochester with daily appointments for  test-treatments-procedures and evaluations.

We appreciate and are grateful for all the all the Prayers, well wishes, support, and many offers to help.
We can see Gods hand of protection and provision thru all of this each and every  day.
We are so very  Blessed by the friends, family, and Brothers and Sisters in Christ that are sharing this journey with us. We can't begin to Thank You enough.
We are Thankful in the many ways that GOD has planned our path and directed our steps to bring us to where we are, and we know that GOD is with us each and every step we go.
Let me end as I started with a big  Welcome and Thank You all for visiting Connie's Story, and a
We appreciate your thoughts, your  support and your words of hope and encouragement and especially your Prayers .
