Welcome to Colleen's CaringBridge page! We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. The story: Colleen drove herself in to emergency Friday night with an excruciating headache. She knew something was wrong because she was having difficulty remember things like her phone number, address, and using her phone, when she went to pick up a prescription. She had what is known as a hemorrhagic stroke, which is basically bleeding in her brain. At this point, they do not believe the bleeding is caused by an aneurism. As of today (noon on Sunday) she is undergoing another cat scan to further examine the extent of bleeding, and to check further for any possible aneurisms. Her headaches remain consistent. For now, they prefer limited visitors, as it aggravates her condition. She will need rehab afterwards to help her with reading and verbal skills, but believe all will come back within time. I will continue updates when changes occur. Until then, do not text Colleen, but feel free to leave a message here and I will convey it to her. Prayers are always good!
