Paul passed away on April 25, 2018, after valiantly fighting Alzheimer's disease. He was a hero right until the end, grinning at stories and even rolling his eyes at us a few times. He is at peace now, and we are so grateful for the time we got to spend with him saying goodbye.
We plan to hold an informal CELEBRATION of Dad's life soon, someplace we can get together and share a cold beer, a hot dog or burger, and a story. A place to gather for laughter, good memories, not sadness. Still planning logistics, so stay tuned...
In the meantime, in lieu of flowers, we'd love to hear a story you have about dad. A small anecdote, a photo, share the love!
The staff at McHarrie Place, where Paul was cared for, was unbelievably kind, loving and patient to all of us during this journey.
We will be eternally grateful for their dedication to Dad.
