Our dear friend and tennis coach, Albert, had a stroke on August 29th. Albert was struck with sudden blindness as a result of the stroke. His eyesight hasn’t fully returned and we’re not sure if he’ll be able to teach again. If he does, it will be many months down the road. Albert is in good spirits and is very grateful to all the people who have been asking about him, called him and want to help. The most important thing for Albert right now is getting his blood pressure under control. It’s still in the danger zone, but it’s slowly coming down.
Many of you have expressed interest in helping Albert but with Covid 19 and Albert’s high blood pressure, we realized we need to limit the number of people coming into contact with Albert. We have decided to use this site to post updates about Albert. Since Albert is dealing with long term health and employment issues, we expect he will need significant financial assistance going forward and will be sending out a Go Fund Me in the next week for those who want to offer financial assistance.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out to help.
