On Monday, May 3rd, Clyde had an accident and fell ten feet while atop his truck, landing on the concrete below. He is at Regions Hospital with a broken hip. The following morning he had surgery for the hip (Intertrochanteric femur fracture) which required nails in the femur and screws above the knee. How he responds to PT will determine if he comes home or goes to rehab. He'll use a walker for about 6 wks. Best case scenario for recovery time is 3 months.
We all know Clyde is an extremely hard worker and being in recovery mode will be a new and challenging way of life for him and his wife, Melanie, this summer. Hearing from friends and family would be a bright light for them as well as his kids; Alana ( son-in-law Nathan), Emily, Tony and his brand new granddaughter Aliyah.
