Or maybe you are here because a friend or family member shared Claudia's story and you also want to encourage and pray for her. Whatever the reason, we are glad you are here.
This site is updated by a support team for Claudia, and we want you to share your encouraging words here for Claudia and to pray about ways that you could help her and her family. Rather than contacting her by text or Facebook, please share your comments or questions here so that Claudia can focus on recovering and reserving her strength for her family. This site will also be a place for Claudia to turn to on challenging days when she needs extra encouragement. Thank you for your support for her and for her husband Blake and their kids.
A Message from Blake and Claudia: We learned that Claudia has invasive duct breast cancer on January 2nd. She began chemotherapy treatment on January 26th. We are asking our church, family, friends, and believers in Christ to be praying relentlessly for the treatments to be effective and for Claudia to become cancer-free. We kindly ask that if you have any questions or would like to help us during this battle, please reach out to Jennifer Sharpe (jfersharpe@gmail.com). Again, the most important thing you can do is to pray.
We know that God is in control. We know that we are victorious in Christ. It is going to be really hard for all of us to see Claudia become sick from the treatments. But we pray that through her struggle many will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We pray that our family will draw close to God during this struggle. We know God will use this for His good and His glory.

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong" (2 Corinthians 12:9-10 ESV).

At this time, Claudia and Blake CANNOT ACCEPT ANY VISITORS because her immune system is weak and we are in the middle of cold and flu season. They do not want any delays with her treatments, so it is very important that she stay as healthy as possible while receiving chemotherapy.
How Can You Help? First, would you consider joining the prayer team for Claudia? We will update you with ways that you can be praying for her, and this site will also offer a way for Claudia to read about the ways you are praying for her. Second, over these next months, you can be a blessing to her and her family by providing meals for them. Please also keep in mind that Claudia's nutritionist has given her specific guidelines of what to eat so that she can remain physically strong.
