Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. It's a long road that has lead us here to Mass General Hospital. Last March Claude was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He had a serious form that could not be treated with surgery.  Nine weeks of radiation followed in addition to hormone treatment. His treatment was no sooner completed than he was struck with terrible back pain. Although the pain subsided his oncologist ordered tests, and we got the bad news that he had a rare form of cancer called a soft tissue sarcoma.  This cancer is unrelated to  the  prostate cancer. Five more weeks of radiation followed. After many many doctor visits we decided to seek treatment at Mass General where there is a unit that treats sarcomas.
