Not really sure what to say...…….it's been quite a week for mom and dad (Jill is writing).  We covet your prayers as dad and mom make their way to Fargo to meet with a multidisciplinary team of doctors to navigate their journey through dad's new diagnosis of rectal/colon cancer.  Dad had a colonoscopy about 10 days ago in Bozeman which revealed a tumor.  Biopsy confirmed adenocarcinoma.  CT scans for staging and of chest/abdomen/pelvis show concerning areas in the liver and lung.  That is about all we know right now.  A PET scan will be done in Fargo on Monday to confirm if the cancer has spread outside of the colon.  This will determine what will occur next.  Tuesday may be an endoscope procedure, Wednesday is appt with a medical oncologist and radiation oncologist. Thursday is an appt with the colo-rectal surgeon.  Planning and details will be discussed and dad and mom will need to make a plan.  Though this journey is not one that anyone wants to go on, we know our Father God is there with us as our minds wander to places and thoughts you don't want to go to.  Right now, our simple prayer request is that the cancer has stayed confined to dad's colon and has not spread. We pray his staging scans are not what they say they are.  Pray for dad and mom's physical and mental strength- we do know that God does and will give us more than we can handle but that makes us lean more on Him. 

For now, pray for safe travels, clear minds, and concerning areas of the CT scans are not areas of concern at all.
