At the beginning of 2016 Clarke began experiencing pain in his sides.  He attributed it to catching a snowblower from falling out of his truck.  But, after no relief, he began a series of doctor appointments.  He was eventually diagnosed with facet arthritis and went through a procedure to burn a nerve in his back, which offered some relief.  However, the relief was short lived.  He began having gastro-intestinal issues and the side pain came back.  Clarke began loosing weight at an alarming rate and lost his appetite.  This started a whole new series of doctor appointments and a variety of new tests.  In August, during a CT scan, a mass was found on Clarke's pancreas.  Further testing determined it to be cancerous and Clarke was officially diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer.  We appreciate your support, positive thoughts, and words of hope and encouragement.
