CJ was born with hereditary bilateral retinoblastoma.  He is expected to undergo routine eye exams under anesthesia for several years- beginning every three weeks and extending to every six weeks as he grows into a toddler and additional tumors become less likely.  New tumors are not expected at every exam, but are quick to appear in newborns and toddlers.

His first tumor was found at an exam at three weeks old, and he went to Rochester to undergo treatment, where another tumor was found.
