Shortly before giving birth to her 3rd child in November 2016, Cindy began experiencing back pain. It seemed very normal to assume it was due to the effects of a pregnancy. A couple months later, Cindy felt a lot of pain in her pelvis; concerned perhaps she had broken her pelvis in labor she asked questions to her doctor, but was told she did not have a broken pelvis. Cindy's pain continued and she sought treatment. Cindy was told her pain was likely sciatica or a bulging disc and she began medications, physical therapy, and steroids hoping that something would work so she could return to her normal life. Cindy's pain continued and escalated to a point that she was no longer able to work and rarely slept at night. Cindy could feel a lump in her bum cheek, but was assured it was likely nothing related to her pain. When Cindy began to lose feeling in her leg, she knew something was wrong and found a doctor who agreed with her to go about further testing. On Wednesday, July 12th it was confirmed that Cindy had a 6" x 3" tumor in her pelvis. By Friday, July 14th it was confirmed to be an aggressive form of cancer. Further testing will determine the specific type of cancer, and chemotherapy treatments will be determined then. Cindy is a loving wife, and a devoted mother to 3 beautiful children. As one of Cindy's nightgown shows--she is (a) Wonder Woman--and she will use all the super powers she has to beat this.
