Cindy found a lump in her breast so went in for a mammogram and an ultrasound on January 21, 2020. From what they saw on the tests, they decided to immediately do a biopsy on that same day. On January 23, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The official name is Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) and is the most common type of breast cancer.
Right now the diagnosis in itself is shocking, scary, and overwhelming. Just the name, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, is daunting.
