On June 8, 2017 I found out I had breast cancer.  Invasive Ductal carcinoma, triple negative ,grade 3 , stage 1.
My first thoughts were I am afraid, this can't be happening!
That morning I was healthy, I didn't feel sick, I didn't look sick, but that afternoon I was facing a life threatening monsters!
As it started to settle into my mind, I reached out to a good friend, who placed me in the hands of top doctors at the Stefanie Spielman Cancer Center.  The appointments started to line up,surgeon, radiologist and chemo to the plastic surgeon .
The first was the Lumpectomy and Lymph node removal. The frozen and final pathology report confirmed I have the most aggressive kind of breast  cancer, but that it was still Stage  1.
Next came the port in my chest on July 28- that was not to fun, but I was told  having a port would make everything easier. I am now starting Chemo on August 1,2017.
I'm not sure how I'll feel during the next five months  of chemo treatments , so I am hoping to keep you updated through this site. I appreciate all your prayers and words of encouragement more than you could possibly know.
Love , Cindy
