Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

In late September Cindy started to have some concerns with abdominal pains and decided to see a doctor about it.  In late October she was diagnosed with uterine cancer and scheduled for surgery.  Due to thyroid and diabetes health issues she was first scheduled for surgery after Thanksgiving.  However, after hard work and following doctor's guidance she was healthy enough to undergo surgery the first week of November.

Surgery was successful.  Cindy had a fully hysterectomy and all the cancer was removed.  During surgery they found that along with the uterine cancer she also had ovarian cancer.  She has Stage 1A Uterine Cancer and Stage 1C Ovarian Cancer.  All of the cancer tumors were removed and the doctors are recommending that she undergo chemotherapy over the next 6 months to deal with any possible microscopic cancer that may remain.
