In early March 2020 after returning from a fabulous trip to Colorado, I experienced sharp pain in the the right side of lower abdomen. Hoping it would pass, I went to see my primary care physician which then soon turned into multiple ER visits and extensive testing over the next 3 weeks which revealed a large mass in my liver: Diagnosis: primary Stage 4 Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare cancer that begins in the liver. Chemo treatment began late April 2020 and I am half way through the first treatment cycle. With a positive attitude and great support network, I am able to handle the Chemo well and my appetite has been good. I still remain active with walks and have learned to rest as much as possible.
