Our family has received the unexpected and shattering news that our very dear wife and mother, Cindy, has been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis - ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease.

In June, Cindy realized her speech had become slurred and slower. She underwent many inconclusive tests throughout the summer, and finally went to Mayo Clinic in October where they diagnosed her with ALS. As we're sure you would expect, this shocking news was and continues to be very difficult for Cindy and our family to digest.

We are creating this page to keep you updated on her health and also for you to post any messages for her to read. While we know you are concerned about Cindy and want to connect with her during this challenging time, we are asking to keep the phone calls, texts and visits to a minimum right now.

We are overwhelmed by the outpouring love and care from our family and friends. Thank you for all of the thoughts, prayers, cards and letters. Cindy's deep faith in God has been carrying her through the past couple of weeks, along with her very close-knit family.
