Cindy Alvey

Cindy and I are working on this but I will give you the simple facts for now...Cindy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 2 months ago. On the first look see we rejoiced with the good news that the tumor was encapsulated and at the tip of the pancreas. Cindy began a clinical trial which utilized some type of drug that required her to be completely covered when out in the sun. You know our fashionista girl did it in style. The Doctors were very pleased with the results. She still needs to protect her eyes and use gloves for driving but overall she is enjoying a few days of perfect weather here in Indy.


I will have to get more facts for you and let her clarify her journey...she really wasn't ready to talk about until now and then was sick of talking about it. Many of us have gone through this journey with loved ones and hopefully you will all understand, this is her journey and I am honoring her requests. She needs your love and support in so many ways and I will continue to try and keep you informed as she moves along. If you have questions or are close at hand I will try to keep the lines of communication open. I am a huge advocate of letting others help in the process..it is so healing for us to feel a part of the journey and have a place to share our thoughts and feelings.


Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers...it is difficult for Cindy to keep up with texts, emails and phone calls as she is loved in so many places, and by so many amazing people. We are trying to use this space exclusively as that seems most efficient.
