Chuck Rickard

First post: Aug 26, 2016
As most of you know, Chuck was involved in a debilitating accident July 1, 2016.  His neck has been fractured in three places in the cervical spine.  C4, C5, and C6.  The American Spinal Injury Association rates his injury as C4 Incomplete ASIA impairment level B.  There is much information on the web if you are interested.  Beginning his long road to recovery at Sutter Trauma Hospital in Roseville, he underwent surgery to fuse the cervical spine back together.  Chuck has since spent 5 weeks in acute rehab At Kaiser in Vallejo.  With much urging from Kaiser Rehabilitation,  he was released to a board and care in Granite Bay August, 11 2016.

After a few setbacks and a tough decision, we have realized that  board and care is not an appropriate option at this time.   The journey continues and I'm hoping to be able to update everyone consistently using this website.  I will be updating addresses and phone numbers here so everyone may access when they like.
