In November of 2015, Chris was plagued with a plugged right ear that just wouldn't clear up.  With a long wait estimated with a local specialist, Chris took his health into his own hands and booked an appointment with a private clinic's ENT doctor.  A tumour behind his left nostril was spotted immediately and a biopsy done on the spot.  The news came back quickly that it was Nasopharyngeal cancer. 

Things moved swiftly from there, as they do with a cancer diagnosis.  Initially it was believed to be Stage 1 cancer, but over time it was determined that we were dealing with at least stage 3.  Chris explored options in treatment, travelling as far as California, and getting 2nd opinions, only to discover that BC is not only a leader in Cancer treatment, but more importantly this specific and rare form of Cancer. 

Treatment began in late December, with a month of heavy chemotherapy,followed by 3 months of a combination of Radiation and Chemo.  Results from the treatment indicated that the tumour responded very well to the treatment and was all but gone.  However,
