Chris was brought into the hospital because he had difficulty in respiration, cough with a fever. Christopher was diagnosed with right lobe pneumonia. Admitted to the floor. His oxygen level was in the 90’s. His body temp was 102.5. He rested comfortably the first night. The following day Christopher developed increased difficulty in breathing and continued to worsen. He was transferred into ICU. He was diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs. His left lung collapsed. His fever persisted. The following morning they requested permission to intubate Chris. Intubation gave Chris and Chris’s family from close and afar to have the chance to see Chris again. Since April we know Chris has Leukodystrophy. Leukodystrophy is caused by a specific gene abnormality that contributes to abnormal development or destruction of the white matter (myelin sheath) of the brain.  Kids diagnosed with Leukodystrophy life expectancy is 10 to 20 years. Chris has lived far longer than his life expectancy. Chris received much love and care from so many. So many impacted his extended life span. I share this not because I think this is the end for Chris. I want everyone to know Chris’s medical condition is not the result of something done or not done in the utero, nor a lack of anything done or not done during his life. My belief’s are, we are all children of God, God have a plan for all of us. God knows  the plan for Chris.
As of this morning Chris remains intubated. He’s receiving 100% oxygen. The cultures and sensitives have not come back. These results are important, the effects will show if Chris is sensitive to his antibiotics. Chris had a low platelet. The principal function of platelets is to prevent bleeding. Typically, a low platelet count is the consequence of a medical condition, such as infection in the blood. His infection is in his blood. Chris got a unit of platelets yesterday. Chris’s platelet level is kept.
I have not seen Chris today yet. I'll be going there shortly. I’ve communicated with ICI. He remains intubated, without a fever, receiving 100% oxygen.
Dr. Garcia (Pulmoalogist) told me not to give up. Without a doubt I’ve Spelled something wrong, possibly sound to technical or whatever. We all love Chris this is what matters. Mae, Chri’s bio mom is my partner on here. Don’t hesitate to check on Chris, continue to pray for him. Thank you
