It has been a whirlwind this week.
Chris has had issues with his testicle since may. On Sept 29th he showed me his neck and his lymph nodes were huge. We went to the ER they did blood work and a CT scan and ultrasound they sent us to the urologist on the 30th. The urologist confirmed what i already knew he has testicular cancer. The urologist Dr. Herman said he could do surgery that same day. Chris had his testicle removed and ended up staying overnight because of problems with the anesthesia. October 2nd our first appt with the oncologist he is optimistic but since this is a very rare cancer and it has spread he is sending Chris to two specialists at Mayo before we start treatment. Then a brain MRI to make sure there are no tumors there. Chris should start treatment in about 2 weeks after the pathology is confirmed. I will update here so my texting thumbs dont fall off!
