Chris Drummond lives in Morristown, Vermont with his loving partner, Ruth Goodrich and two dogs named Abe and Lilly. Grady, a rescue dog that lived a wonderful life while he was with Ruth and Chris, died recently. A family of chickens and a rooster rounds out their family. In the fall of 2015 Chris was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer that had metastasized to his liver. He started Chemo every other week via a pump inserted into his chest and did quite well until last summer when scans showed that the Cancer had spread to his lungs.
One of his chemo meds was changed and for the next 6 months his body has had difficulty acclimating to this new treatment. He has had a variety of gastric/intestinal symptoms, with cramping and pain that have caused him to cut back his employment to a few days a week. He has been a Warrior though out all of this, trying to function at his highest potential, work and continue to find joy and meaning in his life. His approach to cancer has been, “Cancer may take away my tomorrow but it will not take away today.”
