I have a WebMD success story here for you today! The week before my professional diagnosis I began to feel particularly bad. So "what did I do?" you may ask. Well, I turned to the WebMD online symptom checker. Within ten minutes I had a list of 40 potential issues that could be affecting me. Within the top three leukemia came up. Out of fear, mostly, I researched leukemia to make certain in my mind that I definitely couldn't have it. Yet after my own research, I came to the conclusion that most of my symptoms very well related to what I found online. And this is why the Sunday evening before I went to the doctor I diagnosed myself with leukemia. Now as you can probably imagine no one in my family actually believed me. However, I was right! I don't know if that is something to take brag about but it happened nonetheless.

So yes, I have leukemia, specifically acute myeloid leukemia (don't be fooled, there is nothing acute or cute about it). If you are interested, I hope to be posting often, stories and updates about my life here on CaringBridge. I really appreciate all the support that I have receive. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers. Much love to you all.
