Chrissy has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The fight is on…and she will beat this! She is staying positive and is ready to face this challenge. On Saturday, March 26, Chrissy woke up with a large lump near her collar bone. Throughout the past several weeks there have been many doctor visits, a barrage of tests, scans, and biopsies that brought her to this point. She has three tumors on her chest but it looks like it has been contained to that area. She will undergo 6 months of chemotherapy, with 2 sessions per month. All of her treatment will occur at PRMC in Salisbury where she will be treated by the caring staff that have already been amazing with scheduling appointments, working with insurance companies, and welcoming the entourage of folks who attend Chrissy’s appointment with her.

The kids know that she is sick and it will be hard for them, but her biggest concern is that they are able to enjoy their summer and this doesn’t stop them. It takes a village…and this is going to be evident over the next six months. Please help us keep Chrissy smiling. It’s not going to be an easy road, but with all of us here to lift her up she will be a survivor. Please go to the section marked journal for more specifics and how to help.
