Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
9/24/20  I was diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma (FL), a non-hogkins lymphoma, on January 6, 2020. I was an real blow to me, Anthony and my boys. I think whenever someone says cancer, death is the immediate thought that comes to mind. This cancer is incurable, in essence a lifelong condition we'll have to deal with for the rest of my life. There have been many advances in this cancer, but not a cure... YET!  I have completed 6 rounds of RCHOP- chemo specific for FL. PET scan after showed "no evidence of disease" which is as close to cancer free as were gonna get. I started a immunotherapy maintenance infusions (the R in RCHOP, which is an antibody). This is kill any leftover cancer cells that the scans do not see. These will be every 2 months for 2 years. I have been off work since end of January. I am still not back b/c I am dealing w/ a lot of neuropathy from the chemo. Some days I feel chemo was easier.

Thank you for taking time to think of me and visit my journal, and sometimes comment. This is one of the places I can get my feelings out of my body, to continue to be positive and work to get healthy. Your comments have given me strength and helped push me on to recovery. It is so much appreciated.
