On June 1, 2020 Chris was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (stage 4). It is one of the deadliest forms; the average prognosis for this type and stage of cancer is not great. He was given only a few months to live. However, with true warrior spirit, he lived another 2 years. He was able to see his youngest daughter graduate high school, celebrate his retirement, spend time with his grandson, and enjoy many countless special moments.
